Neo Freedonia is an idea, a vision, made of the stuff of dreams. It may turn out to be the greatest accomplishment of my life or just more internet flotsam. It exists as a real place to the extent that it is believed in, no more and no less.
Neo Freedonia is one shade of Utopia. One possible ideal land. One grand experiment.
Yet it differs from the Utopias of legions of revolutionaries and rebels in one important way. Since it, in a literal sense at least, it doesn’t exist. We are free to explore the possibilities, try radical new approaches, create the society we want, without the need for violent revolutions, infringing on anyone’s rights or without any real consequences if we get it wrong.
What it isn’t is the rantings of one man. For Neo Freedonia to succeed, we need you. Spread the word. Comment on what you agree with and what you don’t. Contribute your own ideas. No idea is too wild or too crazy.
And maybe, just maybe, we’ll develop a few ideas that can be adopted in the “real” world.
So, close your eyes and open you mind. What do you want Neo Freedonia to be?
